Shingle Creek Golf Club is a relatively new addition to the Orlando area, but it is rich in history and offers exceptional golf. The 18-hole golf course was designed by renowned golf course architect, David Harman. Harman was able to use the natural setting to create a spectacular golf course that will challenge even the most expert golfers while still allowing those new to the sport the chance to enjoy the game.
The 7,228 yard course has not gone unnoticed in the golfing community. It was ranked one of the top new courses in the United States by Golfweek. It was also placed among the top 10 toughest courses in Florida by Orlando Business Journal. With such high praises, it is no wonder that golfers from around the world flock to Shingle Creek Golf Club. Besides top-ratings, Shingle Creek also is well-known for its well-maintained conditions, shimmering black waterways, fast greens, and undulating, open fairways. Players will be challenged with plenty of water and sand hazards. Accuracy and patience is a must for this championship course. In addition, history buffs will be interested in the story behind Shingle Creek. Early settlers used the creek to transport Cypress trees to the mill and create shingles for the roof-tops of their homes – thus, the Shingle Creek namesake. Shingle Creek is also the headwaters of the Florida Everglades
Shingle Creek Golf Club is located in Orlando, Florida. It is close to America’s top tourist destinations such as Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Epcot Center, and SeaWorld. Plus, Shingle Creek is part of a luxurious 1500-room resort. The resort includes amenities such as a spa, fitness center, tennis courts, pool, volleyball courts, and fishing. Consequently, there is something for everyone, without even leaving the resort grounds.
However, bragging rights stay with Shingle Creek Golf Club because of its world-class golf. Even the pro shop is top-notch -- it was rated by Golf World as one of the 100 best pro shops. The clubhouse and restaurants are remarkable and will keep golfers and their families coming back for more. In addition, the practice facility is enormous. It includes 70,000 square feet of teeing grounds for its driving range, practice bunkers, chipping greens, putting greens, and a professional golf school. The technical GPS uplink system is the final pinnacle to Shingle Creek Golf Club. Stay and play, you’ll be happy you did.
