Many golfers may be familiar with The Reserve at Orange Lake Resorts. Although some may have played it decades ago, when it first opened in 1982, few will recognize it as it stands today. Redesigned in 2005 by famous golf course architect, Mike Dasher, the Reserve is better than ever. The 18-hole, par 71 golf course has been completely transformed into a challenging, water-filled paradise for golfer from across the globe. Improvements have given it an updated design and have made it a golf course to remember.
Among the first things golfers will notice about the Reserve at Orange Lake Resorts is the extreme distinction between the well-maintained greens and fairways and the natural wetlands. The wetlands are home to an abundance of native plants, animals, birds, and reptiles and it is behind the name of "The Reserve." Next, golfers will become aware of the water that is found throughout the course. As a result, throughout the Reserve, accuracy becomes a golfer's most important skill. There are also bunkers that guard undulating greens and false fronts to greens that test the eye. With yardage ranging from approximately 5,000 - 6,300 yards, finding the perfect club can be quite a challenge.
Golfers and their families can stop their search for fun when they reach Orange Lake Resorts. As expected, the golf is supreme; but, there is much, much more. Many pools, spas, water slides, and an 80-acre lake offer a lifetime of memories. Try the jet skis, head out onto the lake for a little water-skiing, or just soak up the sun on the lakeside beach, the options are endless. In addition, Orange Lake Resorts is close to SeaWorld, Walt Disney World Resorts, and Universal Studios - for those who want to take advantage of the Nation's top tourist attractions.
The practice facility at the Reserve at Orange Lake is top-notch. For the night-owls among us, there is a lighted driving range and a lighted putting green. In addition, there are two chipping greens - and one even has a practice bunker. The prestigious McCord Golf Academy is on-site, as well. In fact, Golf Magazine has ranked McCord Golf Academy as one of the top 25 golf schools in the United States. Plus, McCord, himself, has been nationally ranked among the top 100 instructors. With so much to offer, playing at the Reserve at Orange Lakes Resorts is a guaranteed great time!
