Step one foot onto the grounds at Orange Lake Resorts and be prepared to be amazed. There are four distinct golf courses that will beckon golfers of all levels of experience; however, one of the favorites at Orange Lake is the Legends course. Designed in 1998 by the world-famous Arnold Palmer & Palmer Course Design Company, it will bring endless thrills at each and every hole. The forward-most tees total a very respectable 5,188 yards while the back tees are ideal for those with a long range swing at over 7,000 yards.
Although it is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course, the design of the Legends golf course at Orange Lake Resorts is clearly divided between the Links and the Pines. The Links encompasses the first nine holes. It is the Scottish-inspired portion of the course with plenty of open fairways. Although there are some trees and a few holes with water, it is an airy course - so much so, that the winds themselves can pose a special challenge. A good short game and accurate shots are essential to score well.
The second set of nine holes at the Legends golf course at Orange Lake Resorts is called the Pines. It is unforgiving for those with an errant shot. The fairways are winding and have pines and oaks scattered throughout. A misguided ball can easily find itself in the woods or the water. The holes are fun, yet aptly named. Consequently, golfers must do their best with the likes of "The Island Oak Hole", "Sink or Swim", and "Take a Risk."
Golfers and their families do not need to go further than Orange Lake Resorts. Clearly, the golf is supreme; but, there is so much more, as well. Pools, spas, water slides, and an 80-acre lake offer plenty of fun. Take a spin on the jet skis, give water-skiing a try, or just relax on the lakeside beach, the options are limitless. In addition, Orange Lake Resorts is close to Walt Disney World Resorts, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios.
The Legends at Orange Lake has plenty of on-site amenities. There is a beautiful clubhouse and pro shop. In addition, the bar and grill serves delicious food and refreshing drinks. For those who want to take a dip in one of the many pools or work out after a fun day on the course, there is a fitness center and pool at the Legends. Fun times can be had by all!
