Golfers across Central Florida were delighted when DeBary Golf & Country Club opened its doors in 1999. The beautiful 18-hole golf course was designed by legendary golf course architect, Lloyd Clifton. He created the 6,776 yard course to challenge expert golfers; while still allowing even beginner golfers the opportunity to play without becoming deflated. In addition, Clifton designed the golf course at DeBary to model those courses in the Carolinas – a real thrill for area golfers.
Clifton’s vision can be seen at each hole throughout the course at DeBary. The heavily wooded area combined with plenty of lush vegetation work to create a barrier – allowing golfers to focus on the game of golf, not the surrounding community. In addition, players will not lose ball after ball because there is only one water hazard, and, it only comes into play on two holes. Golfers will love the rolling fairways and well-maintained greens. For those who are also bird lovers, the National Audubon Society has declared DeBary golf course to be a certified bird sanctuary. With so much to offer, it is only to be expected that DeBary has received several awards for exceptional golf. It has been given the Four Star rating by GOLF DIGEST, and, it was rated one of Florida’s favorite 100 golf courses by the Florida Golf News Magazine. Plus, DeBary hosts several prestigious tournaments each year.
DeBary, Florida is located in Central Florida…not far from Orlando and just moments from the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. Visitors will find many parks, great restaurants, and charming shops in DeBary. Lakes, rivers, and wildlife abound in the area. Orlando is home to fine dining, a plentitude of shops, and a thriving nightlife. Daytona Beach, famous for its sandy beaches and fun-filled ocean waves, is only about ½ hour away.
Each golfer will be drawn to DeBary Golf & Country Club for a different reason. Some may love the bird watching, some may favor the true rolling greens, and others may love the lack of water hazards on the course. Regardless, DeBary Golf & Country Club has plenty to offer. In addition to great golf, visitors will find a plush clubhouse, a well-stocked pro shop, professional golf instructors, a shimmering swimming pool, 6 fabulous tennis courts, and wonderful athletic facilities. DeBary Golf & Country Club has it all.
