ChampionsGate Golf Club provides golfers with the opportunity to play two beautiful courses, all located on one magnificent resort property: ChampionsGate’s National and International courses. Since its opening in 2000, ChampionsGate Golf Club’s National course has proven itself to be a golfer’s paradise. The National course was designed by golf legend, Greg Norman. As a par 70, the National course covers 7128 yards from the most challenging tees. Several of the holes are over 600 yards long which can certainly push golfers to master their drive while others have water and sand galore.

The National Course at ChampionsGate has received praise from the golfing community on several levels. Golfers who play the course admit that it tests their skills, but still lends to an enjoyable day. The course was also ranked one of the top 10 upscale golf courses by Golf Magazine. In addition, Golf World magazine placed the pro shop at ChampionsGate in the top 100. Numerous tournaments are played at ChampionsGate each year including the prestigious Del Webb Father/Son Challenge.

ChampionsGate, a community in itself, is located between Orlando and Tampa. So, attractions ranging from Busch Gardens and the beaches of Tampa Bay to Disney World, Epcot Center, SeaWorld and Universal Studios in Orlando are nearby. Lakeland is also nearby and has its own historic ambiance with restaurants, museums and a performing arts center.

Many who play on the classic-styled National Course at ChampionsGate will never feel the need to leave. Players will be enchanted by the striking citrus groves and pines located throughout the course. Villas can be purchased or rented and the Omni Resort contains 720 rooms and suites for visitors. The Omni amenities are available for use and include a spa, a pool with cabanas and a lazy river. ChampionsGate also has a 35,000 square foot clubhouse with a top pro shop, banquet rooms, dining and lounge areas, and a world-class golf academy.
