Candler Hills Golf Club opened in 2005 in Ocala, Florida to the delight of area golfers. The 18-hole course was designed by golf course architect, Gordon Lewis. Through his expertise, Lewis was able to create a golf course that is perfect for golfers of all levels of abilities. Some golfers may even go so far as to call the course at Candler Hills, deceptively challenging - especially as they approach the first hole, observe the wide open fairways, and fall into a false sense of security.

The golf course at Candler Hills Golf Club contains no water hazards; however, well-placed sand traps are everywhere. Each one is located in a precarious position, just waiting for an errant ball. The greens and fairways are well-maintained, thoroughly enjoyable to play on, and roll with the terrain. In addition, Candler Hills Golf Club is one of three golf courses (and the only one that is not private) in the “active adult”, Top of the World Community.

Ocala is located approximately one hour north of Orlando, Florida and about 30 minutes south of Gainesville. Orlando is one of America’s top tourist destinations and its attractions include Walt Disney World Resort, Epcot Center, MGM and Universal Studios. In addition, Gainesville is home to the University of Florida Gators. And, it is near Ocala for students or for those fans who want to play a quick 18-holes of golf on game days. With such an ideal location, Ocala is perfect for both locals and visitors alike.

Candler Hills Golf Club has so much to boast about – an excellent restaurant, a fully stocked pro shop, and lessons given by the pros. In addition, the practice facility has every warm-up tool for golfers – from a large driving range to greens for putting and chipping. There is even a practice bunker.
